Use of Personal Information RBS generally uses personal information for the following purposes: – providing warranty and replacement services or other customer service when an individual contacts us for this purpose, which involves use of contact information and information about the particular product purchased, – if you have opted to receive such materials, sending additional product information, offers and promotions regarding our products and services or those of our affiliates by electronic or regular mail, including tailoring these marketing initiatives to meet individual interests based on additional information you have voluntarily provided about you or your interests (for instance through surveys and contests), – maintaining business records for reasonable periods, and generally managing and administering our business, – meeting legal, regulatory, insurance, security and processing requirements. – and otherwise with consent or as permitted or required by law. Disclosure of Your Personal Information Personal information may be used by RBS and disclosed to parties connected with the contemplated or actual financing, securitization, insuring, sale, assignment or other disposal of all or part of RBS or our business or assets, including for the purposes of permitting such parties to determine whether to proceed or continue with such transaction, fulfilling reporting, inspection or audit requirements or obligations to such parties, and use disclosure of your personal information by such parties for substantially the same purposes as described in this statement. RBS may otherwise disclose personal information as necessary to meet legal, regulatory, insurance, audit and security requirements, with your consent, or as permitted or required by law. The Internet RBS operates certain websites, (for example www.richmondbuilding.com). Personal information you voluntarily provide through our websites is used as described in “Use of your Personal Information” above, including to respond to your inquiries, fulfill your requests, administer online contests and surveys, to send you further periodic information about our products and services (if you have chosen that option), and if you provide further information requested, to learn about our customers’ interests and preferences and provide you with information and offers suited to those interests and preferences. Children (under the age of majority) RBS does not knowingly collect, use or retain any personal information from visitors to our websites who are under the age of majority. Where appropriate, we will instruct children not to submit information to our websites or advertisements. We will delete any records of any such personal information that comes to our attention.
